Article VII: Church Meetings

Section 1. Regular Meetings.

A regular Annual Meeting of Grace Church Members shall be held at least once annually at the principal location of the Church on any date upon which the Elders, from time to time, shall decide. At such Annual Meeting, the Members shall consider reports of the affairs of the Church and transact such other business as the Elders determine shall be brought before the Members (see Article VIII, Section 8b).

Section 2. Special Meetings.

Special meetings of the members may be called at any time by order of the Pastor/Teacher, the Elder Chairman or Vice Chairman, or by a quorum of the Elders.

Section 3. Notice of Meetings.

Notice of regular meetings shall be given from the pulpit by the Pastor/Teacher for two successive Sundays prior to the meeting. In addition thereto, notice shall be published in the regular Church bulletin for two successive Sundays prior to such meetings. Notice of special meetings shall be given from the pulpit at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting and shall also be published in the regular Church bulletin on the Sunday immediately preceding the meeting.

Section 4. Quorum.

At all meetings of the Members, whether regular, special or adjourned, the Members present shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.

Section 5. Voting Rights of Members at Meetings.

Only those Members whose names stand on the Membership records of Grace Church on the day of any meeting of the Church Members shall be entitled to vote at such a meeting on matters submitted to the Church Membership by the Elders. Every Church Member age twenty-one (21) and over shall be entitled to one vote.

Those admitted to the Church Membership do not constitute a legislative body, nor do they constitute members in the Corporation and they cannot vote, pass resolutions binding upon the Corporation, nor shall they have any equity in the real property of the Corporation or rights to vote on its disposal (see Article V).
