Ray's Trip to Armenia

I arrived in Armenia very early Saturday morning Oct 7.  Sunday Oct 8, I preached at Central Baptist church in the capital Yerevan.  Asatur and I had lunch (lahmajo - kind of like a personal pizza) followed by baklava & coffee with their Youth Minister (Roman, a seminary student) and his unsaved brother-in-law.  Much of the time was spent in sharing the gospel with him.

For the next two weeks, I gave the morning devotional every weekday morning (rolled through 1 John).  I also preached the mid-week chapel services at the seminary both weeks.

The first week I taught the doctrine of God; most student did well on the exam - total of 25 hours.  The second week I taught the doctrines of Man & Sin to the B.A. guys for 20 hours, and I also taught an overview of systematic theology to the ladies in the Christian Education program for 10 hours.

On the weekend of Oct 14,15 I spoke to the Youth Ministry at Central Church on Saturday evening; then on Sunday I preached the morning worship at Grace Baptist Church of Artashat (Vova's church) and that afternoon I preached at Golgotha Baptist Church in Yerevan (pastored by Tigran, whom we had helped pay for his open heart surgery in January to install some stents).

Right now, I plan on returning in May 2018.
