Opportunities to serve

use your spiritual gifts, your God given skills, abilities, talents, and aptitudes!

The following list is merely a collection of suggested places to begin looking.  God is constantly presenting us with new ideas and using us in different ways.  We encourage you to turn your ear to the Spirit to consider where he is leading you with other mature believers.  Our Elders and Pastoral staff would love to discuss with you where you might be used for God’s glory among us.  Feel free to approach them on any number of these topics or call the church office to find out what the most pressing needs might be at the moment.

Shepherding & Discipleship Opportunities

Has the Lord called you to areas of leadership, Mission, and/or discipleship?

The following opportunities are great starting places for individuals seeking to develop leadership skills and receive a guided mentoring experience in shepherding & discipleship.   Leadership opportunities range from pastoral leadership training to leading a small group of middle school and high school students.

Grace Church of DuPage is committed to providing rigorous and regular theological education for the whole church as an important element in Christian formation, as a means of equipping for service in church-based ministries, and as an aid in the pursuit of fruitful life and mission in the diverse spheres into which God calls us. Likewise, we feel a burden and responsibility, more specifically, to be engaged in the biblically rooted calling upon the local church to raise up leaders for ecclesially based ministry and mission. In the blessing and provision of the Lord, we are able to pursue both goals under the umbrella of the Mission Training Academy (MTA).

Training Tracts:
Pastoral Ministry Training (PMT)
Mission Preparation Program (MPP)
Women's Ministry Training (WMT)
Lay Ministry Training (LMT)

We send out various short-term teams each year.  Generally our teams partner with one of our global outreach workers and their local church community, and Josiah Venture to run a summer camp for youth.  Several of our own youth take part in this mission and we are always greatly blessed by a diversity of ages to help mentor and guide our own youth on our trip as well.

HELP OUR WOMEN'S MINISTRY PREPARE MEALS FOR THOSE IN NEED

We seek to provide love and encouragement with meals for those in need within the Grace Church family. Often times this is when there is an illness, a new birth, or some sort of life circumstance that makes the task of feeding either themselves or their families difficult.  This ministry is facilitated and organized by our Women's ministry, but providing meals is not limited to only those in women's ministry!  If you would like to serve in this way, we'd love to add you to our email list of volunteers to prepare meals!

HELP WITH THE NEXT COMMUNITY CHORE OUTREACH ➝

During the Spring and Fall the Grace Church of DuPage community has a great way to get involved in a local missions outreach to Warrenville and the surrounding area. You can volunteer to be on one of our teams and spend a few hours serving those outside of our church body (seniors and the infirmed) who need our help with basic yard work, clean up, and special projects like window and gutter cleaning. It is our desire that the Lord would use us to show the love of Christ to our Warrenville community.
Watch for announcements in the church bulletin and ABF classes or visit the table in the Lobby each year in April and October.
