Kipp returned to Grace Church in July 2021. He completed our Pastoral Ministry Training in 2012 before being sent to pastor Bethel Baptist Church, St. Charles, then Bible Baptist Church, Romeoville. Now he has followed God’s call back here! He is married to the love of his life, Melissa, and they have three wonderful daughters. Kipp enjoys spending time with family, and golfing (though the game often seems not to like him!). Kipp is passionate about seeing God’s Word transform people, applying Scripture practically in daily life, and training any who are seeking to serve Christ in the local church.

Sunday School Classes

 
 

Our Adult Sunday School classes, beginning Sunday, Sept 13th, at 9am will be:

  • Come Follow Me: A Class for New(er) Believers and Seekers 
    Pastor Kipp Soncek, Fireside Room
    In this class, we will explore what it means to follow Jesus day by day as one of His disciples. Together, we will consider what it means to live out our identity in Christ and grow in our relationship with Him.
    We’ll explore questions such as:     Who are we in Christ? How do we become more like Jesus? How do we fight against sin? Why is the church so important to Jesus? And much, much more.
    Our goal is not simply to learn more about discipleship, but to better understand what it looks like to faithfully follow Jesus in every area of our lives.

  • Trusting God: Resting in the Sovereignty, Wisdom, and Love of God Through Life’s Circumstances
    Wes Karsten, Elder, CE 12
    We all face frustrations, disappointments, and heartache—from everyday inconveniences to life-altering suffering. How do our hearts respond when adversity comes? Do the truths we know about God shape the way we respond, giving us confidence to trust Him in and through every circumstance?
    This class will explore how God’s sovereignty, wisdom, and love provide a firm foundation for trusting Him, and will seek to help us move these truths from our heads to our hearts and into our everyday lives.

  • Building Gospel Bridges to Culture: Conveying Goodness, Beauty, & Truth to a World in Need
    Paul Rupple, Elder, CE 13
    Imagine moving to a foreign country with entirely different beliefs, yet being tasked with representing your homeland to its people and rulers. The Apostle Paul calls us to be ambassadors for Christ and the foreign land is our everyday world, inhabited by our own friends and neighbors. Building Gospel bridges between cultures isn't easy, but the stakes couldn't be higher. Join us to learn how to build these connections and share goodness, beauty, and truth with a world in need.
