Grace Church of DuPage Capital Campaign
This campaign is more than just a list of renovations and updates. It’s about investing in the spaces where ministry happens, where our children grow, where worship takes root, and where fellowship flourishes. It’s about preparing our facilities not just for today, but for the generations to come.
While there is certainly a financial cost to the items listed below, we simply invite you to ask of God in prayer, "Heavenly Father, what amount do you want me to trust You to provide through me to Project Illuminate over the next three years?"
All in all, there are 16 projects we are looking to complete and we are seeking a total of $800,000 over the next three years.
Here are the latest updates, as of 4/21/2026:
PROJECTS THAT ARE IN PROGRESS
1. Playground
We anticipate being able to “break ground” soon as the weather warms and the ground softens. Our goal is to have the playground installed prior to the tailgate season.
2. Lighting
The Sanctuary lights are largely done. All that remains – in this space – are those lights along the perimeter and above the balcony.
The lights in the gym have been replaced.
The lights in the CE wing hallways have been replaced.
The remaining lights (in the CE classrooms and Main Building) will be replaced later this year.
3. Video Displays
The week of May 4th, the two video displays will be installed.
FUTURE PROJECTS (to be scheduled)
4. Bottle Filling Stations (2)
Hydration meets hospitality, as it were! This will serve as a nice upgrade from our current system.
5. Basement Paint
The basement needs to be refreshed a bit. A new coat of paint can do wonders—not just aesthetically but emotionally. When our facilities look cared for, it communicates a tending to, a hospitality, and a connection with a place.
6. Metal Siding Repairs (Bird Holes)
As was just recently done for the bird holes above the Sanctuary, we’d like to repair the damage done over the CE wing of the building.
7. Lobby Refresh
Sanctuary Carpeting
Office Remodel
Gym Loft Curtain
Gym Control Systems
Gym Acoustical Treatment
Cement Work at Doors 1 and 2
…and more!
Our Role
So, what’s our part in all this?
Simple, … let’s be seeking God together, asking Him to make clear to each of us what He purposes to provide through us for Project Illuminate.
Heavenly Father, what amount do you want me to trust You to provide through me to Project Illuminate over the next three years?
Closing
In closing, let me leave you with this verse:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
May this be a reminder that Grace Church of DuPage is His house.
We are simply the stewards.
We’ll be sharing more in the weeks to come—specifics, costs, timelines—but today, let us begin—and continue—in prayer.
Thank you!
