Parent’s Corner- May 21, 2023

When I think back over this past year of Sunday school, I find myself overflowing with gratitude to the fleet of teachers and assistants who have helped to teach and care for our children each and every week. Their dedication to the Lord through their work in Children's Ministry is a wonderful blessing. Please take a moment to thank a Sunday school teacher. They are truly blessings from the Lord!
We will be taking a break from Sunday school for the Summer. Our 2s and 3s class and Children’s Church class will continue.

This week in Sunday school. . .
2/3s- The Jailer Who Believed
Scripture- Acts 16:16-40
Lesson Truth- Everyone needs Jesus
Aims for the Children- to do at least one of the following during this lesson:
Tell what Paul and Silas did at midnight in the prison
Tell who took care of Paul and Silas
Answer the question- Who needs Jesus?
Tell what happened to the jailer and his family
Sunday School- Review Lesson
Children’s Church- Jesus calls the disciples
Scripture- Matthew 4:12-25
Lesson Goal- The student will respond to Jesus’ authority as God’s Messiah by obeying Him.
Bible Truths-
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy when He moved to Capernaum.
Jesus told the people “repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!”
He called Andrew, Peter, James, and John to be disciples.
Application-
Rejoice that God sent Jesus to be the light of the world.
Repent of your sin and submit to Jesus as Lord.
