Psalm 36

Transgression speaks deep in the heart of the wicked
He has no fear of God
Living his life to promote his self image
Believing his sin beyond finding out
All of his words are but curse and deception
For what good is truth to him
All of his dreams are but schemes for a profit
Stealing the goods that heaven gives
But Your love reaches the sky, O God
Your justice is like the mountains high
Your fairness runs as deep as the depths of the sea
And all creation You sustain
How precious is Your love
To all humankind, O God
Feeding them with the profits of
The world that You have summoned up
How precious is Your love
How precious is Your love
To satisfy the thirst in us
With a bounty of delights
Flowing like a river wide
How precious is Your life
And yet how prone are we to the life of the wicked
Devoid of healthy fear, O God
Divorcing all wealth and delight and self image
From the Giver of them all
Deliver Your saints from the foot of the wicked
Save us from their hand, O God
Lest they design all our lives in their image
And make deceivers of us all
For Your love reaches the sky, O God
Your justice is like the mountains high
Your fairness runs as deep as the depths of the sea
And all creation You sustain
