Encouragement

“Encourage one another daily.”  Hebrews 3:13 NIV

The above verse is from a version of the Bible I don’t always read, but I actually found its simplicity refreshing.  “Encourage one another daily.”  Simple, straight forward, to the point.  I have heard it said that when you encourage your kids, you are making a deposit into their heart.  Daily deposits are a wonderful thing!  Encouragement can look different for each child.  For one of mine, it’s all about the conversation. For one, it’s just being present, not necessarily talking, but just being together.   For another, it’s all about chocolate.  Whatever it is, capitalize on what encourages them, and do it as often as possible.

May you find joy in the journey of parenting today!
