“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

For the next two weeks, our Sunday school classes and Children’s Church group will be taking a break from the scheduled curriculum to focus on the events of the Easter story.  This is a great opportunity to spread out the events of Holy Week and spend some time focusing on each element individually.  Now is also a great time to spend some time to make sure your kids understand that these acts of love, obedience, and sacrifice carried out by Jesus were done for them!  Jesus loves them, and desires that they would know and love him too!

This week in Sunday school. . .

Scripture- Acts 12:1-19

Lesson Truth- Jesus listens when we pray for others

Aims for the Children- to do at least one of the following during this lesson:

  2. Tell who answered their prayers

  3. Act out Peter’s escape

  4. Tell who took care of Peter in prison

  5. Suggest some people for whom they can pray

Sunday School and Children’s Church- The Son of Man is Crucified
