Parent’s Corner- April 23, 2023

“Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep My Word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’”

John 14:23

What does obedience mean?  Put simply, it means to hear the Word of God and act on it.

How do we hear God’s Word? By reading the Bible, listening to solid Biblical teaching, praying for understanding, and keeping the Word!

What is the promise?  “We will come to him and make our home with him.”

What joy will come when that promise is fulfilled!

Parents, you are the primary disciplers of your children, but you are not in that endeavor alone!   You also have Sunday school teachers, AWANA leaders, elders, deacons, and other trusted adults and youth at church who pray for you in that important work, and strive to support you in it.  Your Children’s Ministry volunteers and teachers pray diligently for your children, and for you!  All of us have the same goal. . . that the children in our body would come to know and love the Lord God, and seek to serve and follow Him in all that they do.

This week in Sunday school. . .

  2. Tell who answered their prayers

  3. Act out Peter’s escape

  4. Tell who took care of Peter in prison

  5. Suggest some people for whom they can pray
