VBS Drama Auditions: Sunday, April 7!

Auditions for VBS 2019: The Incredible Race, will be held this Sunday, April 7, from 12:30-2pm after the morning worship service!

We will meet in the sanctuary towards the front pews near the stage.
We’ll do a warm up first, then begin reading parts for the auditions. You will be given some sample paragraphs and dialogues from the script to look over and choose from to read out loud. We will also mix you up to try different group combinations. You do not need to prepare for this ahead of time, as we will hand out the sheets at auditions.

Join the Youth Leadership Team

We are looking for mature believers who are passionate about discipling our youth to join our Youth Leadership Team.  Our vision is to shepherd students out of conformity to this world and into disciples who long to be transformed into the image of Christ. Toward this end, leaders commit to giving of their time and gifts to help lead small groups, participate in events, and pursue mentoring relationships with students throughout the week.

Get Involved with Sports Ministry

We provide an athletic and recreational environment for sports-loving people and their families that we might live and proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to all who enter our courts and fields.  Multiple families in our community have a father or husband that participate in our basketball league each January-March.  Consider attending these games, getting to know these families and their little ones, and pursuing gospel opportunities with them.

Sports: Open Gym, Basketball League, Flag Football, Softball League, Kid's Basketball Camps, and the occasional Saturday Night Volleyball.

Help with the Next Community Chore Outreach

During the Spring and Fall, the Grace Church of DuPage community has a great way to get involved in a local missions outreach to Warrenville and the surrounding area. You can volunteer to be on one of our teams and spend a few hours serving those outside of our church body (seniors and the infirmed) who need our help with basic yard work, clean up, and special projects like window and gutter cleaning. It is our desire that the Lord would use us to show the love of Christ to our Warrenville community.  Watch for announcements in the church bulletin and ABF classes or visit the table in the Lobby each year in April and October.

Join the IL School Project

Join us with youth groups all over the Chicagoland area as we seek to cultivate a passion to see God glorified in the lives of young people trusting in Christ in our local schools.  ISP (Illinois School Project) seeks to give practical tools to students to start Christian clubs and provide ways for Christians across youth groups and churches to collaborate and entrust their classmates to the Lord as they pray for salvation, host events to share the gospel, host these Christian clubs, and invite them to church.

Become a Quest Mentor

The Quest Program is a ministry of Outreach Ministries.  WYFS (Warrenville Youth and Family Services) uses our church building and facilities for their daily programming, but we do not oversee or have any involvement in the leadership of this ministry. However, we do encourage our church members to get involved in the lives of these students through their mentoring program.

Help With Special Needs Events

There is a lot of physical set-up and preparation required to make these events possible.  If you are able and willing to help build or assemble sets on a Friday evening or Saturday morning leading up to an event, please contact Kevin Jacobsen.  Our desire is to reach families with the love of Christ, both in word and deed through these events.  Please pray for us that we would be able to share this love by building meaningful relationships and taking every opportunity that the Lord provides to speak the truth and call people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
