Getting Started
As I write this first post the snow is coming down outside but despite the weather our thoughts are drawn to this summer's mission trip. It is very exciting to be leading the first ever Grace Church of DuPage missions trip to the country of Slovenia. While it is still early on, so much has already been accomplished. By God's grace we've assembled a team of three adults and six high school students, we've already had our first team meeting, and we've even purchased our plane tickets!
While there is plenty of training, fundraising, and planning ahead of us, we are looking forward to June 29th, when we will begin our Slovenia journey.
This blog is for those of you who'd like to follow us as we plan and prepare for our trip. Here you will find updates on what we've accomplished, what we need to do, and ways you can pray for us.
On that note, here are a few requests we have:
- Pray that we will be unified as a team
- Pray that we will learn together the art of being servant hearted
- Pray that God will give us a zeal to make him known
- Pray that God will be preparing the hearts of those students who will be at our camp to hear and receive the gospel
